Biography

I am currently working towards my masters in Biomedical Engineering Student at the University of Rochester and hope to pursue a career in the medical device industry. I am focusing on medical device design, specifically neurosurgery products. I accumulated over 120 hours of surgical observations and currently working on developing a product to increase the surgical area during minimally invasvie spine surgery. Throughout my undergraduate career, I had the opportunity to work with medical devices as an intern and volunteer. I volunteered with the chief clinical engineer at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Buffalo, NY  working on repairing and sterilizing medical equipment. I also interned at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) in Dublin, Ireland researching the material properties of osteocytes and chondrocytes. Most recently, I worked with the next generation feedthrough team in Clarence, NY at Integer as a research engineering intern. I performed investigations to regulate the particle size of platinum and alumina.
